Metro Repair Plumber

Privacy Policy

Effective August 30, 2026 · Unlocking Dreams LLC

This Privacy Policy explains how Unlocking Dreams LLC, doing business as Metro Repair Plumber ("Metro Repair Plumber," "we," "us," or "our"), collects, uses, discloses, retains, and protects personal information. It applies to repairplumbr.com (the "Site"), our phone and text communications, in-home service visits, and any related products or services that link to this policy (together, the "Services").

By using the Services, requesting a quote, booking a job, calling or texting us, or otherwise providing information to us, you acknowledge this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Services or submit information to us.

This policy is designed to be conservative: we collect what we need to quote, schedule, and complete plumbing work; we do not sell your personal information; and we honor access, correction, deletion, and opt-out requests as described below. It is not legal advice. Have counsel review it before you rely on it as a published legal notice.

1. Who we are

Metro Repair Plumber is a residential plumbing company serving North Texas, including the North Dallas area. We are licensed through the Texas State Board of Plumbing Examiners (TSBPE) and insured. The business is operated by Unlocking Dreams LLC.

2. Scope

This Privacy Policy covers personal information we collect from or about:

  • Website visitors and people who submit the "Request a Free Estimate" form or any other form on the Site
  • Customers, property owners, tenants, and other people who call, text, email, or meet us on a job
  • People whose information is given to us so we can perform work at a property (for example, a landlord, property manager, or spouse)
  • Reviewers and people who interact with us on social media or review platforms

This policy does not cover information we collect about our own employees or job applicants in that capacity, or information collected by independent third parties (review sites, maps, social networks, payment apps) under their own policies.

Our Terms of Service / Legal Terms are a separate agreement. If there is a conflict about privacy practices, this Privacy Policy controls how we handle personal information.

3. Information we collect

We collect the categories of information below. We do not require you to provide more than we need to quote, schedule, invoice, and complete the job.

Identifiers and contact information

Name, phone number, email address, mailing or billing address, and the property address where work will be performed. The Site quote form currently asks for first name, last name, phone number, property address, services needed, urgency, and notes.

Service and job information

Description of the plumbing issue; service type (for example emergency repair, drain cleaning, water heater, pipe repair, bathroom renovation, or inspection); urgency; appointment date and time; access instructions; photos or video you send or that our technicians take at the property (including before-and-after photos of fixtures, pipes, water damage, and work areas); job notes; parts used; warranties; and follow-up needs.

Commercial and payment information

Quotes, invoices, amounts charged, payment method (for example card, check, or other processor), payment confirmation, and records of products or services purchased. We do not intend to store full payment card numbers on our own systems. Card data entered through a payment processor is handled by that processor under its terms and privacy policy.

Communications

Call recordings or logs if our phone system records calls; text message content and logs; emails; chat or form submissions; and notes from conversations with you. If we record calls, we will provide any notice required by Texas law (Texas is a one-party consent state, but we still treat recordings as personal information).

Online and device information

IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, referring URL, pages viewed, date and time of visit, approximate location derived from IP address, and cookie or similar identifiers as described in Section 8.

Reviews and public content

If you post a review or comment about us, we may collect your name or username, the review text, rating, and any photo you include, and we may display first name and last initial (or other content you made public) on the Site.

Information we do not seek

We do not seek Social Security numbers, driver's license numbers, precise GPS tracking of your phone, biometric identifiers, health records, or financial account numbers beyond what a payment processor needs to complete a transaction. Bathroom or interior photos taken to document plumbing work are collected only to perform and warrant the job, not as a health or medical record. The Services are not designed for HIPAA, GLBA, or similar regulated data. Do not send us medical records, bank account passwords, or other highly sensitive data we do not need.

4. How we collect information

  • Directly from you: quote forms, calls, texts (including to 945-393-5365), email, in-person visits, invoices, and reviews.
  • From someone acting for you: a spouse, roommate, landlord, property manager, contractor, or insurance adjuster who books or discusses the job.
  • Automatically: cookies, pixels, and server logs when you use the Site.
  • From service providers: payment processors, phone and SMS providers, scheduling or CRM tools, website hosts, analytics providers, and mapping or review platforms.
  • From public or commercial sources: publicly available address or business listings, and information you publish about our work.

If you provide information about another person (for example a tenant at a property), you represent that you have the right to do so and that the other person understands we will use it to perform the work.

5. How we use information

We use personal information to:

  • Respond to quote requests, typically within about 60 minutes during posted business hours
  • Call or text you about your request, quote, appointment, arrival window, parts, or follow-up
  • Dispatch licensed, insured, background-checked technicians to the property
  • Diagnose, perform, document, and warrant plumbing work
  • Provide written, upfront quotes and invoices and collect payment
  • Honor our satisfaction guarantee and handle complaints or callbacks
  • Maintain job records, licenses, insurance claims, and tax and accounting records
  • Detect fraud, abuse, no-shows, and safety issues, and protect our rights, staff, and customers
  • Improve the Site, routing, and service quality
  • Send service-related messages you request or that are needed to complete a job
  • Send marketing messages only where you have consented or where the law allows, and always with a clear way to opt out
  • Comply with law, TSBPE or other regulator requests, legal process, and insurance requirements
  • Display reviews you have made public, with your name handled as you provided it

We do not use your job photos, property address, or plumbing issue for advertising to the public without your separate permission.

7. Calls, texts, and SMS

If you submit a phone number on the Site, call us, or text 945-393-5365, you agree we may contact you at that number by call or text about your request, quote, appointment, and the job. These messages are transactional. Message frequency depends on your job. You will not be subscribed to a recurring marketing text program unless you separately opt in.

If you opt into a Metro Repair Plumber text messaging program, you consent to receive SMS messages at the mobile number you provide. Messages may include appointment reminders and job updates. You will only receive 1 message unless you consent to receive more related messages. Message and data rates may apply. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

To stop SMS messages, reply STOP. You may receive one confirmation text. To get help, reply HELP, email owner@repairplumbr.com, or call 945-393-5365.

Consent to text is not a condition of purchasing plumbing services. You may opt out of marketing texts and still receive service we must send to complete a job you asked for (for example "we are on the way"), unless you tell us to use another channel.

Do not text us photos or information you do not want stored in our ordinary communications records.

8. Cookies and tracking

The Site may use cookies, pixels, local storage, and similar technologies to operate the Site, remember preferences, measure traffic, and understand which pages are used. These may be set by us or by providers who host or analyze the Site.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser. Some Site features may not work if you do. We do not currently respond to every "Do Not Track" browser signal in a uniform way because there is no single standard; we do honor the opt-out and deletion rights in Section 13.

We do not knowingly allow third parties to collect personal information from our Site for their own cross-context behavioral advertising. If that ever changes, we will update this policy and provide any required opt-out.

9. How we share information

We share personal information only as described here:

  • Technicians and subcontractors who need the address, contact, and job details to perform the work. They are required to use that information for the job, not for their own marketing.
  • Service providers that host the Site, process forms, send email or SMS, process payments, provide phone service, store files, handle accounting, or provide IT and security. They may use information only to provide services to us, not to sell it.
  • Professional advisors such as lawyers, insurers, accountants, and banks, when reasonably necessary.
  • Other parties you involve such as a contractor, property manager, or insurance company, when you ask us to coordinate with them or when it is required to complete the job.
  • Legal and safety disclosures when we believe in good faith it is required by law, court order, or regulator (including TSBPE), or to protect rights, safety, or property, including investigating fraud or threats.
  • Business transfer if we sell, merge, or reorganize the business, information may transfer to the successor, who must continue to use it in a manner consistent with this policy unless you are notified otherwise.
  • With your direction or consent including public reviews you choose to post.

We do not share your personal information with unaffiliated companies so they can market their own products to you.

10. We do not sell personal information

We do not sell your personal information. We do not disclose it for monetary or other valuable consideration to third parties for their independent use. We do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes other than those reasonably necessary to provide the Services you requested.

If that practice ever changes, we will update this policy first and, where the law requires, give you the right to opt out before any sale or sharing occurs.

11. Retention

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes in this policy, including:

  • Quote requests that do not become jobs: generally up to 24 months, unless you ask us to delete sooner and we are not required to keep them
  • Customer job files, invoices, warranties, and photos: for the life of any warranty plus a period needed for tax, insurance, and dispute purposes, typically up to 7 years after the last job unless a longer period is required
  • Call and SMS logs: according to our phone and messaging provider settings and ordinary business needs
  • Website logs: for a shorter operational period unless needed for security

When information is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it in a reasonably secure way. Backup copies may linger for a limited time until they rotate out.

12. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to a small residential trades business: limited staff access to customer files, password-protected systems, licensed and background-checked field staff, and service providers that offer encryption in transit where available.

No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. You provide information at your own residual risk. If we discover a breach that Texas or other applicable law requires us to report, we will notify affected people and regulators as required, without unreasonable delay.

Please do not email payment card numbers. Use the payment method we provide at invoicing.

13. Your privacy rights

Whether or not a particular state statute applies to our size of business, you may request that we:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate information
  • Delete information we do not need to keep for the job, warranty, tax, insurance, or legal purposes
  • Opt out of marketing emails and marketing texts
  • Limit our use of a phone number or email to service-only messages

Send requests to owner@repairplumbr.com or call 945-393-5365. Tell us which phone number, email, and property address the request covers so we can find your records. We will verify you are the person (or an authorized agent) before we release or delete information. We will not fulfill a request that we reasonably believe is fraudulent.

We will respond within 45 days, or sooner if a specific law requires it. We may extend once if reasonably necessary, and we will tell you if we do. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights (we will not deny service or quote a different price because you made a privacy request). We may still refuse deletion of records we must keep, and we will say so.

To opt out of marketing emails, use the unsubscribe link or email us. To opt out of marketing texts, reply STOP. To opt out of marketing calls, tell us and we will add you to our internal do-not-call list. This does not block calls or texts needed to finish a job already in progress unless you ask us to use another method.

14. California notice

If you are a California resident, this section is a notice under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the CPRA ("CCPA"). In the last 12 months we have collected the categories in Section 3: identifiers, customer records information, commercial information, internet or electronic network activity, geolocation (property address and approximate IP location), audio or electronic communications (if calls or texts are logged), and visual information (job photos). We collect them from the sources in Section 4, for the purposes in Section 5, and we disclose them to the parties in Section 9.

We have not sold personal information and have not shared it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not have actual knowledge that we sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16.

California residents may request know/access, deletion, correction, and opt-out of sale/sharing, and may use an authorized agent. We will not discriminate against you for exercising CCPA rights. We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes other than those specified in CCPA regulations as reasonably necessary to perform the Services.

If a complaint with us is not resolved, you may contact the Complaint Assistance Unit of the Division of Consumer Services, California Department of Consumer Affairs, 1625 North Market Blvd., Suite N 112, Sacramento, CA 95834, (800) 952-5210 or (916) 445-1254.

15. Texas notice

We are based in Texas and perform work in Texas. The Texas Data Privacy and Security Act ("TDPSA") applies to certain businesses that meet data-volume or data-sale thresholds. Even if those thresholds do not apply to us, we still handle Texas consumer requests under Section 13.

Texas law also requires notice of certain data breaches affecting sensitive personal information. If a notice is required, we will provide it as the law directs.

These Services and this policy are governed by Texas law, consistent with our Legal Terms, without prejudice to any non-waivable rights you have under the law of your state of residence.

16. Children

The Services are for users 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If you believe a child provided information to us, contact owner@repairplumbr.com and we will delete it, except where we must retain a record of the request.

17. Third-party sites

The Site may link to maps, review platforms, social networks, or other websites we do not control. Their privacy practices are their own. Review their policies before you submit information to them. Inclusion of a link is not an endorsement.

18. U.S. processing

The Services are hosted and operated in the United States. If you access them from another country, you understand your information will be processed in the United States, where privacy laws may differ from those in your location.

19. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Effective" date at the top will change when we do. For material changes, we will post the updated policy on the Site and, where appropriate, notify you by email or other reasonable means. Continued use of the Services after the effective date means you accept the updated policy, to the extent the law allows.
